Crank and Cam keyway service

The Duramax cam and crankshaft use a 5mm pin to index the timing gears, crank position sensor ring, and dampner. This pin can shear off resulting in improper cam timing and piston to valve contact. PDM can recut the keyway to accept a longer key. The machining of the key way slot is critical, just a thousandth of an inch to either side can effect the cam timing.
